The 11th Annual AES Atlanta Student Workshop is happening this coming Saturday. High School and College students who sign up will take classes from industry professionals who invest their time to insure mixers, producers, engineers, and artists of the future learn the fundamentals necessary to be successful and to make great sounding audio.
This year’s classes and instructors are:
Critical Listening taught by Jim Anderson, multiple grammy award winning jazz recording engineer and professor of recording arts at NYU – Patricia Barber, Jane Ira Bloom, Joe Henderson, Al Johnson.
Recording taught by Matt Still, producer/mixer/engineer – Elton John, Outkast, Santana, Fall Out Boy.
Cubase taught by Paul Lipscomb, Steinberg representative and recording engineer – Denyce Graves, Lil Wayne, and Rich Boy.
Mixing taught by Leslie Brathwaite, recording engineer and mixer – Pharrell Williams, Ludacris, Rick Ross, Chris Brown.
